Fort Bend County MUD 155 (Bonbrook) purchases water from the City of Rosenberg. The City of Rosenberg’s public water system, (PWS) ID#0790003, will temporarily convert the disinfectant used in the distribution system from chloramine to free chlorine. This is a semi annual, regularly scheduled process. The conversion will begin on November 20, 2020 and continue through December 4, 2020. The chloramine reinstates December 4, 2020.

The Board of Directors of Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 155 recently concurred to transition the security services for the District from the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s office to the Fort Bend County Constable’s office, effective November 7, 2020. There will be no interruption in security services as the transition occurs.
Residents will still contact the non-emergency Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office like they have in the past at 281-341-4665 or 911 for an emergency. The calls will be automatically routed be routed to the appropriate department

The City of Rosenberg received results from water samples collected from the Brazosport Water Authority surface water supply entry point at Water Plant 8 and various locations throughout the city’s water distribution system. The results did not detect any of the Naegleria Fowleri amoeba from any of the samples.
With this additional level of assurance, the City of Rosenberg will begin reintroducing treated surface water back into the water distribution system today.
